In the diagrams (see pictures and download below), the following parameters are shown: rainfall, nitrate, turbidity, ortho-phosphate, nitrite and ammonium.
The turbidity (red) decreases, the longer it has not rained. During heavy rainfall and simultaneous sampling a significant increase in turbidity is observed.
The nitrate concentrationt (orange) always decreases with the start of the growing season and the drier it is. With rain in summer, the nitrate concentration increases with a time delay and then decreases again.
The river Sauer is sampled once per week at the Moulin de Bigonville. The data of rainfall derived from http://www.asta.etat.lu/meteorologie/meteo.html, Arsdorf station.
The river Sauer has in the current year 2014, an average turbidity of 7.8 NTU, the average concentration of nitrate (NO3) is
15.3 mg / L.
The river Our is sampled once a week in the area of the Moulin de Kalborn. The data of rainfall derived from http://www.asta.etat.lu/meteorologie/meteo.html, Reuler station.
The river Our has in the current year 2014, an average turbidity of 4.8 FNU, the average concentration of nitrate (NO3) is 16.6 mg / L.
